This planet is rather intriguing. The number and variety of gems is not something one sees every day. Even though there seems to be no trace of indigenous magic users, the sheer volume of crystals carry significant energy. Merely circumventing the job limit. I was going to take the Guild-based teaching position, however my Guide had other ideas.

...but you're a member of the Guild, ze. You did join, right? That means you don't need to take that job via the Guide. You can take on any of the apprentices you want.

Of course! But just to make sure we have you on the books, you might want to register as one of the teachers. I'm pretty sure it allows you to take extra jobs starting on Sunday.

By the way, I'm planning on giving a special broadcasted lecture to the new apprentices. Mostly, though, it's for the sake of the Guide network... I'm hoping to hook more interest, and to fill up more apprentice seats.

We will see. I need to take a closer look at the planet to determine how exactly I want to do it.

I am also being told there are hostile creatures at some places, so that will need to be taken into account.

Nothing major. Simple spells stored in wands and staves. The gems from the planet will make it extremely easy to do that.

[It's like arts & crafts, only less paste and more MAGIC.]

Ah, I see... I might look into it later. It sounds like it wouldn't hurt to have some around for when I don't have enough energy to cast spells myself.

I'm mostly doing it for the educational value. I doubt that many of the items created will be of actual use.
