With that said, we've just entered into orbit around the lovely planet Mineralisc! Shuttles down to the surface will begin running tomorrow, as usual. We hope everyone enjoys their stay!

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy has this to say about Mineralisc:
This particular world is an anomaly, even throughout galactic standards. This world once orbited two suns, but over time, the larger of the two expanded as stars tend to do and died. During the expansion, the rising temperatures superheated the surface of Mineralisc and brutally melted every living thing on the planet! In doing so, all of the raw ore and minerals lying in the mantle of the planet became exposed and, over an excruciating period of time, cooled and hardened into the crystalline world it is today. Isn't science amazing? Also known as the Galaxy's Largest Engagement Ring, this planet is now a mining paradise. Cultures from all over the cosmos flock here to mine the precious metals and gems that make up roughly 80 percent of the entire surface. Fabulous crystalline cities dot the landscape, carved from the planet's facets themselves, and due to the planet's orbit around the surving sun, the world is in a perpetual twilight. Temperatures stay at a cool fifty degrees, so don't forget to bring your jacket! Mineralisc is also home to the quadrant's most well known gem and jewelry company, Troppany's ,and is also home to this year's galactic winter games! × And on the topic of Activity Check, it's November, and we all know what that means! Midterms, Thanksgiving, and (apparently on the US' East Coast) really crappy weather! Just like last year, we're cutting the AC requirement for November in half - one network post or one open log is all we're looking for this month!
× Another reminder (we know, we know, shut up already, Mods!) - Applications are closing! If you want to bring in a new character, or if you've got friends you're enabling to join, please be sure to have your application in by 11:59:59pm Friday, November 11th for processing on the 12th, otherwise you'll have to wait until apps open again in January.
× And in preparation for closing apps, reserves will close this weekend on Saturday, November 5th. All reserves made before closing will still be valid through their expiration date, but we will not be accepting any new ones after Saturday.
