That is true. I've seen war turn allies against each other rather swiftly. It is indeed strange to walk away with the enemy as your boss when you won.

In a way . . . we all did, even those who won. But change was made and compromise achieved and the planet itself existed with it's small scars instead of larger ones.

Or it did. It feels much a waste now. Does the victory even count at this point?
