It seems Lady Une isn't on top of her PR game.

She blames a Guide and then claims she longs to be understood. It is a wonder if perhaps the universe is not trying to assist her.

[she wonders if it's a blessing or a curse that Chang left the line unencrypted; the young man's transparency when it comes to expressing his thoughts is both an asset and a liability; he's honest and loud about it]

I don't find her hard to understand at all. Rather easy come to think of it.

Yes, she gives herself far too much credit. She is a rather simple creature to grasp.

And her intentions are easy to read. Though maybe that in itself is the front. Perhaps she's just to appear easy, so she can hide the truth behind it.

Doubtful.

And therein appearing simple while hiding complexity is also, in itself, easy to understand. No, I think she puts forth a labyrinthine wall with a somewhat gifted tongue that hides a really very straight-forward core.

Deceiving others is an easy task, once you know what they desire. In meeting someone whose desires are not easily fulfilled is where she stutters.

I'm about to be her subordinate.

And her enemy before that.

Hohhh? She who strives for perfection had enemies? Fascinating.

War produces enemies. Picking a side makes you the enemy of the other.

Certainly. At times, with those on the same side.

That is true. I've seen war turn allies against each other rather swiftly. It is indeed strange to walk away with the enemy as your boss when you won.

It sounds like a battle of multiple victors. Who really lost?

In a way . . . we all did, even those who won. But change was made and compromise achieved and the planet itself existed with it's small scars instead of larger ones.

Or it did. It feels much a waste now. Does the victory even count at this point?

No. Nothing "counts" at this point. You would be a fool to say otherwise.
