He's looking directly at the camera, though, so hey at least this time it's on purpose.]First, I'd like to say a generic word of welcome to the new people, even if most of you aren't going to hear anything else than "my planet was ( Read more... )

[he smiles thinly at that]

That's what I would have said back home, but that didn't change the fact that it was. There's no precedent to it being legal as far as I've seen.

[flushes and gapes a bit before shaking his head]

What, no, nonono-- I mean, yes, but he's not here and-- and no, I'm barely eighteen and he's-- even younger than that and-- of course I'd like to someday but--

[huffs]

That's really not the-- I simply want to know what rights I have and what rights I should be fighting for.

That was a very impressive way of dancing around a subject.

I'm choosing to take that as a compliment instead of the blatant mocking it's meant to be.

[It's so funny Kurt should bring this up, because Britt's signed up for a plot that will have her marrying *Rikku*. The female one. XD]

Honestly, I've had a hard time trying to figure out what isn't legal here.

[sob britt that's so you he can't help but smile]

It's "assuming makes an ass out of you and me", Brittany. It's a play on the word-- assume being spelled ASS + U + ME. Quite crude, but it gets the idea across.

[smiles a bit NOPE STILL LOVES THE POPULATION...]

I don't know. I've never heard a single argument against it that made sense. But that's never stopped anyone from taking that stance before, and I'm not convinced the law isn't maintained by bigots.

Around here, they'd be more likely to care if someone with six tentacles was trying to marry someone with eight or something like that.

I don't think most people even care.

Obviously the refugees don't, but I don't know about anyone else, so I thought I'd ... ask. It doesn't seem like anyone has any concrete knowledge whether it is or isn't, though.

You'll find if you open a book now and then, there are more than 10 words in any given language.
