[There's a clearing of a throat before the screen is able to even flick from black to focus, and a stlyish man with a mic in hand appears!]
Welcome back! We are just about to continue with the Adamantium Cook battles, but first we'll do a quick interview with one of the contestants.
[Behold, right on que the picture moves as quick as light to a spot where there's a blue spotlight and -- no contestant to be seen. There's a pregnant pause before the pictures moves back to a dumbfounded Peony with his head turning back to the camera.]
[There's suddenly an unseen, squabbling voice in the background that the sound can't quite make out through the Guide.]
... Eh? She's out sick with food poisoning. [His face is surprised and somehow not with this piece of news. But always ready for anything, Peony pushes his surprise away as fast as he had shown it and calmly adds,]
Okay, so let's get somebody else over here to interview.
[The squabbly voice seems to say something in tone that sounds a little reluctant and disagreeing. Apparently, the show has set interviews for each contestant and it's not straying from their appointed times. Too much paperwork. Blah, blah, blah.]
[Peony blinks, then responds with a mild shrug.]
Interview myself, huh.
[With an small entertained grin, he holds the mic a little closer to himself.]
Well... [Guess he'll do just that!]
I'll take questions from the audience, then!
