Mmm...? [She sort of... grazes it over]

Are we speaking of oppression here, now?

An elegant way to get young ones off the grass, Yukari-sama.

[Hi there is a cat now. A bigger cat. Maybe leopard-sized. She just appeared there! And is headbutting Yukari's hand.]

[Oh that is-

... Not Ran. Not even Ran-sized. But fuzzy like.

And the child squeals KITTY!]

... Ah... - [She turns and begins petting said Very Large cat.] Hello, Chen. You are affected as well, I take it?

[Said very large cat purrs. A lot. Though she peeks one eye open for a moment to peer at the small child.]

It seems so, Yukari-sama.

[The nekomata tilts her head a bit to allow easier access to one particularly itchy spot by one of her ears--the one with the earring still in it. It seems much smaller now, compared to the ear carrying it.]

Unless I was like this yesterday? Or the day before, or earlier in the week? My memory is a bit fuzzy right now.

I'm sure it is... [A sukima opens and she puts the child through it - back to the shrine for the kid, as much as she'd rather have the kid here. That would probably mean having to defend them from the other youkai and... hoi. What a headache. And from there, she float-sits lower so she can get both her hands in on this petting business - and just a bit of one of her claws near that itchy spot on the ear]

I see. Yes, just yesterday you were but a kitten, still. I must say, this is a pleasant surprise.

I dunno, I never usually see much whenever I pass through.

...Unless you count the dragon or the stuff in the Glade, but I doubt kids would wander that far.

[And yes he does travel to New Gensokyo regularly.]

There are large, predatory birds up on the mountain, among the other little creatures that have ventured out from the glade.

... but those aren't the most dangerous ones here.

...Makes me wonder why I haven't been attacked yet.

Oh, any number of reasons. Sometimes humans can get out unscathed. But the smaller and more defenseless you look, the more a target you become for things that want an easy meal.

This is likely just going to pique the curiosity in many.

...I must say you look like you do well with human children, dear.

Perhaps, but it was also fair warning. There are critters here that do bite. Some of them may even strike up pleasant conversation before they do.

[She chuckles] I may very well do just that. [Yukari loves kids ;;]

True. I do hope there are a team of individuals keeping an eye on these children. They get curious regardless of warnings.

Well... there are the mikos watching over them. [This, as you can tell, is a disaster waiting to happen]

I remember a while ago, the same thing happened.

It seems I escaped age reversal this time, but it was quite odd when it affected me...

Was it...?

[She thinks about this for a moment]

... Ah, I fear I wasn't here for that. I am sure it was, however. [Aww. Babby Youmu]

... [Sigh]

... Try not to think too much on it. There is always a chance she can and will return.
