[ Wufei's eyes widen just a fraction. That was . . . a rather unfortunate point for Wufei then. He hadn't spoken to Barton directly until months later, and they never broached the subject of Wufei assisting Dekim or Wufei blowing his cover. Dekim wouldn't have given the recruit roster a first glance if not for Wufei's prompting, and he wouldn't have known who among the faces would have dared to use Trowa Barton's name without Wufei guiding him. It was fortunate that Dekim was too greedy and manipulative not to have killed Barton outright. ]

[Perhaps someone who hadn't been raised a soldier and mercenary like Trowa had would have wanted to hurt Wufei for that betrayal. But he understood Wufei's head had to have been messed up around that time.]

Though Preventer does little to help me now on that front. You will find that I am not the only one suffering from restlessness. It is hard to go from large scale military operations to being in charge of nothing more important that breakfast.

Sometimes that is the best anyone can do. [He knew the words were pretty meaningless, but what else could be said? He rather doubted Wufei would just give up. On anything.]
