People being wormholed, it's been happening rather frequently hasn't it. Is such a thing common? Periods of time where several go missing, I mean. Perhaps there's a cycle or pattern to it all.
[He's getting off track. There's a sigh, and Minato shifts in his seat.Ah... I hate to be the bearer of bad news but for those of you that knew Kushina, it

He wasn't about to not say something.]]
Iiiiiii Don't think you gotta apologize for maybe missin' someone who's been wormholed outta here. It's not your fault you feel a certain way.
[[There's a sound of metal hitting metal and Matt 'ow'ing in the background.]]
It's sad t'hear you lost your friend though.

He doesn't reply right away, needing a few moments to pull himself back together. But when he does it's still audio, and the exhaustion he feels isn't hidden in the least in his tone.]
My wife. Our son, too, has left.

So how long were they here with you?

[A quiet hum, affirmation. No matter the situation he was still a shinobi, still the Hokage. It was his duty to relay information and keep his calm while doing so.

[he'd been there to meet Naruto during his first month aboard the Thor, and find his team. he'd been there to hear Naruto talk of his late sensei and even later father, in awe and pride and insolence. he'd been there to comfort Naruto over loss and being lost, about growing up with no kind words from anyone -- and about ending up very, very far from home]
[he'd been there to watch Naruto reunite with his sensei, and see joy in two hearts that strove together. he'd been there to witness Naruto fumbling through what it meant to be in a family, with the arrival of a mother too young to have even had her son yet. he'd been there to see, after long months, a husband and father appear when it seemed Naruto needed one most]
[always in the background, maybe, far distant from the unit itself, but no less watchful, no less involved as far as his heart was concerned]
[seeing that happy family that never got a chance, only to also watch it be deconstructed again...]

She's my wife.

I see.
It is probably better that she is not here.

Most likely. She didn't remember everything that I do, there are still things I would like for to experience, back home.
