I'm Dr. John Watson, and I'm looking for anyone with medical training or healing skills who would be interested in a permanent job working at the Refugee's Haven Medical ClinicWe started out with a few permanent staff members, but thanks to the wormholes that's been cut down quite a bit. Right now I'm the only full-time doctor on staff, and ( Read more... )

[ Shiro ponders this for a few moments, before inquiring: ]

What type of ailments do you normally see at this clinic?

Mostly minor injuries and illnesses. We're not really equipped for major trauma and we don't have the lab facilities for complicated tests. Those cases get referred to the regular hospital.

Is that so! In that case, I am able to assist. I do have experience in pharmacology.

[ ... anti-demon pharmacology, but the foundation of his knowledge is in treating injuries and illnesses. ]

That could be helpful. What's your name, and what kind of experience do you have?

The name's Fujimoto, Shiro. I've earned the title of Doctor within the True Cross Order.

[ Shiro mentions the order's name, even if it's unlikely this man is from the same version of existence as him. ]

I taught anti-demon pharmacology for an academy, and used my knowledge to treat injuries and prepare patients for long-term hospitalization. Most of my experience comes from treating combat related injuries or small-scale epidemics of disease. However, I specialize in treating ailments caused by demons.

[ As expected from an exorcist. ]

[Anti-demon pharmacology? That's a new one.]

We haven't had any demon-related cases that I've been aware of. [John gives him a small smile, knowing that on this ship that could change at any time.] Not yet anyway.

Do you think your skills would help with more mundane cases?

Isn't that a good thing? I can finally put this whole 'exorcist' business to rest in my old age!

[ Shiro chuckled lightly. He's received a few afflicted people after being passed along from ordinary doctor to doctor without a definitive diagnosis, as those sort tended to turn toward the church as a final effort. Those cases were quite mild, though. ]

Surely! [ He rubs his palms together, leaning forward. ]

Cleaning and bandaging wounds, removal of small foreign objects, placing sutures, determining if infection is present... things that could happen as a result of a household accident or fight. [ Gesturing with a dismissive wave, ] No sweat whatsoever. I'm also able to dispense and compound medicine as needed.

Then I think you have yourself a job, if you're interested.

Good question. I won't be able to really define schedules until I find out what kind of response I get.

Would you be available in the next day or so though, if needed?

That's not a problem. I finished tying up loose ends for my last job earlier today.

[ Shiro types something into his Guide, sending his room and contact number. ]

You may reach me by this information anytime.
