I know that, but...

Rebuilding an entire species is mega-scary to think about. It makes rebuilding a Guild look like a walk in the park!

And it raises all kinds of questions, like... is this little ship going to be enough for all of us? Can we find a new planet, even without the help of a goddess to bring it to life? And we've lost so many planets already... how can we know the next one will be safe?

It hurts my head just to think about it!

Anyway, back to what your intention was. I think the humans will be okay on the species preservation front. Just give them a bit of time. Maybe some alcohol, too.

It may seem shortsighted, but the real worry right now should be how to integrate with life on the ship fully until hospitable planet choices pop up rather than popping out kids.
