[filtered away from Kushina]

Eh, it says in my Big Book of Galactic Holidays that today is Colon Appreciation Day, The Anniversary of the Fall of the Zinborgian Dynasty, Hug An Elcor Day, and Mother's Day.

... So what's Mother's Day?

A day to honor mothers and motherhood.

It's very commercialized, but nowadays, most things are.

Not necessarily; only if you care. Some people don't.

I didn't know there was a colon appreciation day.

It says right here in the book.

Just doesn't say how to celebrate any of these or what they are. I guess it's more like a calendar instead of a book.

I've never been the sort to waste my time on holidays, so I wouldn't know.

[someone else already explained it, so! Moving on!]

Buy your mother some flowers, or give her the best hug, or attempt to make her a meal.

Or maybe all three? Right? I've got a lot of Mother's Days to make up for, y'know!

Well, the name's pretty descriptive, isn't it? It's a day meant to be for mothers all around the world... And universe I suppose. A mother is a very important figure in life and they do a lot of work but often get no recognition for it, this day exists to remind us to at least give them thanks once for everything they do for us.

What about for someone that didn't grow up with a mom but has one now? What's the best way to celebrate? I know mom does a lot for me now, so I wanna make sure I pay her back.

Then you have a lot of Mother's Days to make up for.

[Laughing a bit.]

But really, the best part of mothers is that they tend to be content with just very little. I'm sure your mother will just be grateful and happy with anything you do for her, but as some ideas, rather than get her gifts or flowers, why don't you take her out for lunch or dinner? An outing of just mother and son to enjoy each other's company, I loved to do those with my mother. You could also spoil her a bit and take her shopping or window shopping if you don't have enough money, a woman always loves company when doing this and if that company is a loved one it's even better.

That's a lot. I think I'll try it all.

A day to celebrate your mother. It's pretty much exactly what it sounds like.

Yeah, I figured that out now. So what's the best way to celebrate?

A present, I guess?

Yeah, some people said a present, but I dunno if that's enough.
