[Hello again, Thor. It's night time in Dead Young Ladyville.
Those of you that have been trying to contact Yukari this entire time and been getting nothing but Dead Person - or who have been checking back in occasionally to see if the scene with the out young woman has changed yet are in for some luck!
Because something is beginning to happen again. The sukima - having stayed stationary there for so long - is beginning to shift and change again; and the eyes? They're all staring at the dead body on the ground. It's getting bigger, but now more slowly, and not just tearing open lengthwise, it is stretching in all directions again.
Hands begin to claw their way out of the edges of the sukima, shadowy black, clawed, they reach for the body of the girl, but don't quite reach. And so the sukima shifts and changes, trying to get closer to her.
This is going to go on for a while - an hour or so at least, so plenty of people have time to tune in and see where this is going to lead.
However, finally, the hands are able to reach out and touch the girl, and they roam over her, through her, poking and prodding as though the sukima itself is trying to figure out if she's really dead. Finally, after a couple minutes of doing that, one of the hands lashes out and grabs her wrist. And then? It begins lifting her up. Before dropping her. It seems rigor mortis has passed because the body moves easily enough.
No. That's not right. It needs to try again.
A second hand comes out now - one to the wrist, one to the back of the neck, and it tries again. Limp, she gets about halfway up before the hands either lose their grip or their ability to touch her, and she collapses again.
The sukima changes, shifts, turns, and tears further open again, this time it seems to be arching to circle the girl. And as it does, the hands now reach out and grab her in several places - the back of her neck, the back of her dress, both wrists, arms, shoulders, and as she is lifted, beneath her chin, even a few grab her legs and ankles, pushing her upward. Until finally... they stop lifting her, and she is suspended, limply, about a meter above the ground.
She's still very, very dead, but there's a vague illusion of life in this motion, in this position.
Then the hands do something else, do something strange. A half dozen of them shoot out from all directions, shooting right through the girl's abdomen. There's no blood - they pass through as though ghostly, but even still, the body jerks, once, at it. The hands then fade to nothing, before appearing again, partially out of the sukima. Half of the hands shoot forward, pressing fingers against her chest - not a lover's touch, almost as though they're trying to claw their way into her chest, while the other three shoot in again, and the body jerks more strongly this time.
The sukima stretches around her back further. This time the hands shoot from both sides, the hands sink into her body, and then stay there.
The body twitches again. And then again. And then again. Almost like a patient beneath defibrillator paddles. It's an involuntary motion drawn by an external stimulus.
This goes on for several moments before the hands digging around in the girl's chest and body suddenly disappear, leaving only the hands holding her up.
And then? Her fingers twitch.
It's not an involuntary motion, necessarily. But it's so subtle most people will miss it.
The sukima begins to shrink in toward her, compressing inward, shifting and changing again as though to match her shape and size. The hands lash for her chest again. One after another for a brief hit before they disappear. And with every hit her body convulses again. But this time there's something else that happens in the wake of it - muscle spasms. Weak at first, until finally her entire arm twitches, her legs, her body - without the help of the hands that seem to be grabbing at her.
And finally, a spark in her dull eyes - and the girl breathes once more, taking a deep, sudden, rattling breath, like someone who was just underwater for just a bit too long. She breathes heavy, labored, raggedly, now, but otherwise doesn't move.
The girl's body is alive again - but the dull look in her eyes means her higher functions haven't kicked back on yet. The hands lashing at her chest stop. And the sukima closes in on her again. It reaches her extremities first; hands and feet. But instead of the appendages disappearing into the sukima as is normally seen with Yukari, the boundary bends itself, twisting and pulling outward almost as though she's sticking her hand into latex - except as it settles against her skin, it disappears. Those who saw the previous video will notice that, as her hand emerges on the other side, the edge of it looks black - with the flashing hints of red and white eyes staring out. But though her hand looks normal aside from that, one will notice that it isn't. Because the tips of her fingers are sporting claws, long and sharp, talons that only... yes. Only youkai seem to possess.
The sukima continues to close in though, enveloping her arms and slowly traveling in toward her body. The hands disappear as the part of the body is claimed by the sukima, but for some odd reason her pose does not change. Finally, about mid-bicep, her brain catches up with the goings on, and there's a flash of intelligent thought in those violet eyes. The girl looks around, wildly, her head lashing from side to side as her still-recovering senses attempt to take in all the happenings around her - the fact she doesn't know where she is or what's going on. Fear is evident; and her eyes well up, tears spilling over and down her cheeks in terror. She can't seem to move her body voluntarily yet. Not while the sukima is still closing in.
And she notices that part, as well, staring in wide-eyed, teary terror as the gap slowly takes her body, closes in from her hands and feet toward her chest. She tries for a scream, but nothing comes out. Then the gaps hit her stomach, her chest, and she winces, the tears flowing more freely now as the gaps get to her organs - it looks quite painful, but it's clear she's trapped inside her own body. She can't get out. She can't move... she's being swallowed and spit out by this terrifying monster...
Then...
... Then... it hits her neck. And pauses for a moment. Her eyes roll up toward the heavens, almost as though asking a god for help - to save her, to stop this, to tell her what's going on... She can't speak, she can't move, all she can do is feel and see and it's horrifying what's going on.
But then the sukima moves again - what's left of it anyway. It doesn't ease over her head like it did with everything else. It stretches open, almost like some kind of monster... and then 'eats' her head in one sudden bite.
The girl falls from the sky, hitting the ground and stumbling, but, to her credit, somehow managing to stay upright. Her body's free to move now, and move it does, as she hunches over, stumbling around, her hands reach up to claw at her head - leaving bloody claw marks in their wake. She falls to her knees, her back arches, and finally, finally, she screams. Her mouth opens wide, lips sliding back over one nasty set of fangs - fangs humans just don't have - and she screams, high and loud, pain and fear and gods but whatever just happened to her hurts inside and out. The claws rake down over her eyes, and she falls forward, gripping tightly at the ground. Her eyes are visible then - glowing softly in the dimness of the moonlit night. And the pupils? Are slitted, vertically, and wire-thin.
She doesn't look so human anymore does she? No, she looks like some sort of beast now. Some sort of... monster. But soon enough the pain subsides, and she leans back on her knees, staring upward, dully, into the sky. Tears are still streaming down her cheeks, her eyes are still glowing, but overall she looks a bit more like a human now that she's not writhing around in pain.
She sits there for another couple minutes. Dull. Motionless, but at least alive again. And then, slowly, she rises to her feet, glancing around uncomprehendingly at her surroundings. At least her mind is somewhat back on track. She glances down to a hand, and flexes it, clench, unclench, then turns it over to examine the back - as though looking at her own body for the first time. An eyebrow cocks, and she tilts her head to the side.
"..." She tries her voice now, but nothing comes out. Nothing yet, at least. And then again. And then again. Until... "... Who am I?" She flexes her hand again. "... What am I... I'm..."
She glances down at her dress... "Purple... mura-... murasaki..." She winces, and grabs her head. "I am violet... I... am..."
紫
"Who.. am I...? What..."
She stands, and looks a bit more firm in her muscle ability now. But still, it doesn't take long before all her thinking makes her wobble a bit, and she falls backward. This time, however, a sukima just... opens and catches her. There's still no ribbons at the edge of it, but it at least seems to be behaving now.
"I'm..."
紫
The kanji keeps flashing in her mind. It's the kanji for the color of her dress - violet. 'Murasaki'. She doesn't know why it's sticking in her mind but... the color just resonates with her for some reason.
She clenches a hand at her face again and... the background of the scene distorts, finally. Ribbons appear at the edge of the sukima, and as her hand falls away, it looks much more like the border youkai we all know and love staring back.
"I..."
A flash, her hair is long, her body is taller, her look is more mature. Her voice is deeper, very slightly, with age.
"I am..."
紫
"... Yukari. The Master of Boundaries."
And then the dream fades to black as the border youkai awakens.]
[ooc: Yukari is awake now. She is going to figure out VERY quickly what people saw and be both grumpy and touchy about it, so don't mind if responses lack their usual... mirth. Once again, there is no interacting with the dream, but she'll be fielding all your many questions. Probably by avoiding the hell out of them. Have fun~]
