[It had been over a week now since he had returned from the gladiator matches, and as much as he would like to not have to work, he needed money. He no longer had the large sums from his royal background at his disposal, and even with Maraich's help taking care of Ashura was an expensive endeavor. It made him miss his former station in life more than he thought he would.
But regardless of his feelings on the matter, he had a job to do, and he was a street performer this month. His boss gave them the freedom to perform as they saw fit, so long as they brought back the tips and basically performed in general.
So Ashura set up in a generally busy spot that was not to busy, putting down the guide and turning it on in order to reach as many as it could (he hoped it might bring him a bit of a bonus to help buy Ashura some treats). He smoothed his outfit and took a breath, having stretched in the privacy of his room before he came out. A helper provided by his boss pressed a button on a portable stereo, and music began to play - clanging bells and drums (think Indian sort of).
Waiting a beat or two Ashura launched into the first dance, moving his arms and legs in quick and yet fluid motions, snapping open a fan and swirling it around. Anklets on his feet clanged and he was a swirl of color.
He sincerely hoped he could qualify for a 'job' better than this very soon, though to be fair, he did enjoy dancing for a crowd.
But his little helper was starting to ruin the mood with his chittering - ]
Come one, come all! See the great dancing elf! See a traditional elvish dance right here! Come on, step up!
[That little - he would get it, but later. Elf indeed.]
