It's a holiday, from the planet Earth--I think to honor the dead. Traditionally, everyone would dress up in costumes, and children would go from door to door asking for candy.

Last year, here, for Halloween, mummies and zombies and vampires and werewolves showed up and attacked everybody, and we had to use plants to fight them off.
