One of those white guys who refuses to believe that it's still better for whites in this country than non-whites ("I don't believe in White Privilege"), and wants to "let the past go" so we can all hold hands on a hill and sing about Coke

Probably best you do. It's nearly impossible to get those types to see anything but what they want to. Kinda' like the folks who say, "Why isn't there a White History Month?" and "I don't go around saying I'm proud to be straight!" _facepalm_
