I can fully sympathise with John's desire to be left in peace. And Sherlock analysing the problem and providing the solution. Lovely.

My only question is: has Sherlock returned to experimenting or is the something noxious his attempt at baked beans?

I'm also of the "Leave me alone to die" school of dealing with illness.

Hmph! Anyone as good at chemistry as Sherlock would probably be a brilliant cook. I'm thinking he's re-appropriated the soup pot for one of his experiments now that it's no longer needed as a soup pot.

hehe! I'm not sure if Holmes' efforts are cute or more of a way of covering his ass for his "stay the hell away from me while you're sick" attitude. Either way, I enjoyed it.

Split the difference and it's "enlightened self-interest": a) John hates being coddled while he's sick, b) I hate coddling people, c) provide all the flu-fighters from afar and he'll get better quickly while I avoid picking up his bug.
