WOW - just WOW - the others have expressed what I feel much better than I could put into words (I don't have your talent, you see). Amazing, brilliant - and that last line is just perfection.

This is so powerful, and extremely moving. I can see both of them in it.

Wow, this is beautiful. Very moving and powerful.

(I would really like to add you to my friendslist. It's always nice to meet others who like Sean/Elijah... is it okay?)

Okay, I'm back and I wanted to say that I loved the reference to one of Elijah's movies, I loved the king and the foudre - all very Sean and then the "Old soul in youth's body" which brought memories of LOTR and Ian McKellen and well, everyone who fell in love with Elijah - and then that killer line:

You leaped in my arms, and that day you leapt into my heart.
Sooooo beautiful and so appropriate for the way they met. :)

Loved the "foolish with freedom" bit, too, and the "not safe" which must be so new for the Safety Hobbit.

Thank you so very much for this! Loved it! *hugs*

You're quite welcome. I seem to have a knack for writing sonnets, so I went with my strength. (Even if there's not a single moment of wall-smut or disapproving relatives in the poem!)

I kinda liked having Sean quote The Epic of Gilgamesh and mention the French term for falling in love (literally, "lightning") in the first verse! The meteor analogy was perfect -- especially since Sean himself brings up Elijah's last film in the commentary. (Frodo springs to his feet, and Sean says, "He was in 'Deep Impact'!")

I even managed to mention that sacred acting moment for the pair of them -- the climb up Mount Doom ("Together, let us two ascend...").

Glad you liked it. It was great fun being able to spring this on you! (All lbilover's fault!)

Well, I have been known to enjoy stuff that had neither wall-smut nor DRs... :P

Yes, it was a Sean thing to do, I thought, the quoting.

You really did a wonderful job with this! Thank you again - and for the surprise. I had absolutely no idea. :)
