“You can have all the burglars and Jehovah’s Witnesses you want, but Mrs. Hudson is Off. Limits!”

OMG, I can't stop laughing!!! And Arty Morty? Priceless.

Stole part of that from Monty Python - a man with a pet tiger who was going through 3 Jehovah's Witnesses a day feeding it.

And how could I resist Reginald Kincaid's clever anagram of Moriarty?

Of course Sherlock named this oddity "Mycroft II"
Who knew that today's prompt was really about musicals!

I'm surprised that I haven't seen more "Little Shop" in response to today's prompt.

Perhaps the comm demographics play a role.
Those people that were drawn into fanfic because of BBC "Sherlock" might not be familiar with "Little Shop". Sometimes I think my meta is so obscure that I am only writing to a handful of people.

I have the original black and white movie (pre-musical adaptation) on video tape. ;-D

I was in "Little Shop of Horrors" in high school. I was ready to heart this the moment the plant swore.

Between Sherlock's scolding, and Arty Morty, and the name Mycroft II, and John's awesome last line -- many many hearts.

Thanks so much!

Frankly, I'm surprised that more people didn't go the "Little Shop" route with the prompt.

Big fat bad-tempered creature with the morals of a wolverine. Yeah it fits.

OMG! This made me literally LOL. So much so, in fact, that I didn't even notice it was a 221B fic until I came back for a re-read. That "Berk" at the end just puts the cherry on top!

Of course "Arty Morty" knew Sherlock would not be able to resist a swearing, blood-drinking plant and therefore would fall right into his trap. If it was a trap. Maybe this was sincerely intended to be the Best Gift Ever and a token of his affections, who knows?

And calling it "Mycroft II" is inspired. *Collapses into giggles again*

Was it a trap, or simply "Arty Morty" understanding the recipient's tastes so well? The world may never know.
