I couldn't not write about Joan's Beez - I've had our back-and-forth from Great Tales in my "possible story" pile - and even though I didn't really have this storylet in mind when I came up with the prompt, I realized it would be a perfect opportunity to write it.

Thanks! This started as a 25-word story over at the LJ Comm Great Tales, as Capt Facepalm can tell you.

Euglassia watsonia to the rescue.
SENTIENT bees with NYC accents.
A reference to the "myrmidons." (Ants, bees, eh close enough)
Sherlock never the wiser.

SO MUCH TO LOVE IN THIS!!!

Hee. Thanks! This started as a 25-word story over at the LJ Comm Great Tales - and I knew I wanted Joan's Beez not only to be fiercely loyal to their namesake but to sound like Noo Yawkers (of as many ethnicities as I could put in), tossing in a gay drone or two as well.

I don't promise that this will be the last appearance by Joan's Beez.
