Medical Science comes through

After talking with the doc, a lot of things make sense. Mostly, I feel justified to yell l TOLD YA SO a lot. Some examples ( Read more... )

Ah yes, Astepro is what they have me on for the sinus issues too. It does clear things up doesn't it? Not quite as good as pseudoephedrine, but in the long run probably better for you.

I do the 'pressure changes/weather' thing too. Does Astepro work for that? I thought it was just the dust/allergens...

Dunno, I'll have to wait for the next storm ;). I think I might need to have some pseudo-backup for that. I asked the doc about just taking pseudoephedrine regularly and he said to keep it to as-needed.

I react to changes in weather as well as change of season...and heaven knows what else...I just know that I have to start taking meds as soon as I feel like I am getting stuffy or I end up with a full fledged infection and on antibiotics...and my head sounds like a rain stick when I am trying to sleep...

Do you know if Astepro is related to Astelin?

The actual drug is azelastine HCl. That sounds similar, but I have no idea if they're actually related.

That sucks. Atmospheric changes kick off my asthma and I take a lot of flak for complaining about coworkers' perfume, so you have an instant sympathizer here. Hope the meds work for you.

Some of my family will half-jokingly threaten to spray EnDust on the cats. The main problem, we decided, would be taking them outside to shake the dust out. :)

Heh, I'd like to see that. The doc specifically listed strong perfumes as an irritant and I am sure that if I had coworkers, he would have been happy to write me a note. Let your coworkers stuff it. Then again, that kind of attitude is probably one reason why I am so happy without coworkers.
