I have a plethora of moles in both my front and backyard!! Does anyone have any recommendations? I don't want to kill them, I want it to be humane! I just want them to leave my yard alone! I also have two dogs, so I can't use anything that will harm them either ( Read more... )

A lot of people recommend burying dog hair in the ground. Supposedly when they smell a predator they'll go elsewhere. Since you already have to dogs, it couldn't hurt to try!

My in-laws swear by the little sonic thingamajiggers - their dogs didn't mind them and the mole that they had was gone within a couple of weeks.

IDK about outside, but inside they make my dog go bonkers. My boyfriends mom has the little ultrasonic whatever plugins in the wall and they make my dog pace and whine and generally flip the f*** out.

Everywhere I've ever lived, my cats have taken care of the mole problem. I don't know how "humane" it is, but no more moles! Adopt a kitty!

My dad tried a lot of different things in his quest to be mole free a few years ago though I don't think he had great success in deterring moles for very long and ended up using traps down the holes, so not humane - I particularly remember there was putting bottles in molehills (wind blows over tops) and putting pee down them.
