Dang it, I want some Aquilegia seed, but I won't be in the UK 'til August. I have the worst luck.

I love your container collection, very nicely done :)

That was a freecycle bargain - the pots came complete with strawberry plants, weeds, and vine weevil larvae (ugh). Strawberries repotted and fed, and hopefully all larvae squished! The Aquilegia will be seeding end of Summer so if you want some just let me know your address and I'll send you some! :)

Lovely shade of purple there - I have aquilegia as well, but only white and blue.

ID: Does it seem as if it will flower? The foliage looks like a campanula to me.

Can you tell me what variety of aquilegia that is? I love that, it's so much prettier than the standard kind I can find around here.

I have no idea I'm afraid! My garden was full of it when I moved in - it's very prolific in this area (Wiltshire, UK). I get lots of colours, but the dark purple is probably my favourite. They also cross-pollenate readily so every year you get new varieties - so exciting!
