I planted some elephant ear bulbs and some already growing dahlias to my garden this weekend. Since we have a good population of rabbits living here I picked those because I read they're rabbit resistant ( Read more... )

Slugs can do that to plants when they're just new, my moms yard is semi-shady & she has problems with them every year.

It has been very rainy and wet here lately. I'll keep my eyes peeled for slugs too. :)

My mom has grown elephant ears for about 5 years now and I don't ever remember her complaining of rabbits chewing on them.

I had dahlias in a pot and something ate them last summer. :( I get both deer and rabbits but the deer are not usually ballsy enough to go in the front so I'm guessing it was bunnies. The deer loved the moss roses I planted on my rock wall though :-p

My deer have turned one of my young white pines into a dr seuss tree. Poor thing is just a poof on top and stripped bark :(
