a friend recently brought me a bouquet of spring flowers. There were many different varieties of daffodils some camellia, and some greenery. I believe the flowers were picked from her Mother In- Laws yard. My friend isn't really into gardening ( Read more... )

freesias are beautifully fragrant, but this was a daffodil/narcissus of some type.

I have Thalia (a triandus, which are usually fragrant) & Erlicheer (very fluffy and doubled.) They're both late bloomers though. What you described sounds much like Toyama, which is also pretty popular.

try googling narcissus. The "scientific" name for daffodils.

I grow several varieties of OLD daffs, and that "noted" big yellow on yellow "spring" daff... but it is not noted for its fragrance.
