fruit trees and freezing

We're having a mighty cold snap down here in Texas: temps expected to hit 20F or lower tomorrow and the next night. No one's fruit trees are leaving or budding yet, but we're all wondering if we still need to protect our fruit and citrus trees or if they'll be okay without covering.

Look up your particular cultivars online and see what it says for their tolerances, it will vary from one variety to the next. If it looks like they don't tolerate temps that cold at all, you can run a sprinkler on them to alleviate the cold.

I just covered the small ones and watered the larger ones. I'm in the Houston area so I don't know if it will get as cold as your part of Texas. I also am a bit worried about my Queen Palms. :(
