Question about cold snaps and seedlings

A week and a half ago a bunch of volunteer squash seedlings popped up in my garden. Last night a cold snap came through. This is a late March Texas cold snap so it's not QUITE freezing, but it's close, and there's frost predicted tonight and tomorrow morning before the temperature shoots back up to 70. In Garland, here, I brought in everything I could. I'd leave them covered till this mess passes.

I would leave them covered until things warmed up a bit. You're question isn't silly at all--after all, how will know unless you ask? :)

And I am only slightly north and east of you, and we are getting the same stuff you are. . .so I've just finished wagging in the houseplants I put outside on the porch last weekend when it was 80.

Agreed with the other commenters. . .as long as they aren't getting direct sun, I'd leave them covered. The covers will also serve as a windscreen.

I'm a little west of you. I kept all my seedling beds covered with sheets today. I have perennials covered with empty pots and I put potted plants inside my garage. I'm ready for it to stay warm!
