Propagating Lantana

I have recently acquired some cuttings of lantana and some lantana seeds. Is it even possible to successfully grow lantana from a cutting? Have any of you had any luck with it? Is there anything I need to do special to the seed pods to make the odds better they will sprout next spring? Advice and tips are always appreciated ( Read more... )

You probably have the old fashioned Lantana then.
Because I have never seen the hybrids go to seed.
I have not tried them from seed before actaully.
A few self sewn ones have sprouted in my yard before from neighbors plants.
So they should be easy to sprout. As for cuttings they could root them in perlite after dipping them in rooting hormone.

Cuttings are easy and you're sure to get an exact copy of the mother plant that way. Seedlings can be variable.
