Ridding of the Rabbits

Anyone know a home remedy for keeping the bunnies out of my vegetable garden this year? Last year they pretty much destroyed my green bean crop!

garden pests: vermin

Sprinkling bloodmeal in the garden works. You have to redo after watering and rain though.

Doesn't bloodmeal add nitrogen to the soil? Can you have too much nitrogen in the soil... like, will it affect plant growth??

Hasn't caused a problem in my garden. You don't need to use much at a time. I just do a light sprinkle around the edges.

Pee around the border of your garden works really well.

Keeps all animals away.

Also can be a nice social thing for parties

Is that only carnivorous human pee, or will veggie work as well?

Put up a tightly woven metal fence and bury the edge of it in the soil about six inches so they can't go under it. The bunnies were there first. I hope you don't have to kill them! They are a blast to watch.

I would try the old rememdy of using hair trimmings-
I have tried this & it may be the reason we don't get many bunny visits-
Our yard is open to one side-I found a bunny in the yard a few times -but nothing was chewed on-
& my little garden is open-( I think I may needto redo this again this year -it has been a few years sinceI applied any)
I do however also have cats-both used to hunt even bunnies onthe farm -but now are getting a little old & not so interested
