Seed Starting 2007

Finally, the day has arrived! 12 weeks til last frost in Zone 5! You know what that means...

I started off the day by attending a "Seed Starting Seminar" given free by English Gardens. It was an hour long presentation given by a member of management who's been in the business for the last 16 years. It was very informative, all questions were ( Read more... )

That sounds good, I wonder if they have something like that in Sacramento or Stockton. I've begun planting also. It got up to 78 degrees here and everything has burst into bloom overnight. I planted a lot of seeds and two hydrangea bushes and half a flat of flowers.

Must be nice! We got up to a whole 20 degrees here yesterday :) I can't wait to get outside and get moving!

Looks like you're all ready to go! I'm also in Zone 5 (on the border of 6) but I don't get started until another couple of weeks. I've been burned by too many late frosts in spring .. .:(

My seeds however are ON THE WAY so I'm psyched. :)

Well, the herbs are going to stay potted, and celery and onions have a long season so we will see how it goes. I have a small patio greenhouse if they get too big for the house before I can plant them in the garden.
