I am so angry at the universe right now. My mother is one of the most thoughtful, considerate, caring, loving people I have ever had the honor of knowing. She does not in any way deserve the pain and suffering she has had to endure lately and it just keeps coming ( Read more... )

Talk about some bad luck for your Mom .. I hope her ankle heals quickly .. you're a good, loving daughter to be so sad and disheartened for her .. I bet she appreciates that a lot.

What you write sounds a lot like how I feel about what my sister has dealt with all her life. It seems she never, ever has gotten a break, and she never asks for or wanted that much. All I want for her is to be free of pain, free of pressure, and free to live the quiet little life she's always wanted to live. And then something else happens ( ... )

Thanks so much for all of your kind words and thoughts. I really appreciate it. Means a lot.

I'm actually at my parents' house now for a couple of days helping out while my dad is on a business trip. My mom is doing much better than I expected. I think her injuries aren't quite as bad as originally thought. Her ankle is sprained, but she's in a Velcro brace and is able to walk a bit. Her wrist is also in a Velcro brace and I think is sprained or maybe slightly fractured, but the bruising and swelling is getting better. And her other elbow is just in a sling and the bruising and swelling is getting better there too. She's having some trouble with her ribs now, so we're going to go see her orthopedist tomorrow to check on those.

She's in really good spirits all things considered. And I've passed on everyone's thoughts and prayers. And we're having a good visit. We always have fun together - we're really close. It's nice that she doesn't feel badly to have me here helping. That's always the biggest thing I think - not wanting to need ( ... )
