[An hour or so after dawn on the 31st and a little before it starts storming, the mun got confused on the weather calendar, the sound of water splashing can be heard over the journals. This little girl woke up to much confusion, but she also woke up outside for the first time that she can remember and amazement has temporarily displaced alarm. ( Read more... )

oblivious to everything, it makes sense to her, this is perfectly logical, *ultra* oblivious, ~voice, ~action, flower girl! now in size small, the journals use talking bugs

[There's a man out for a walk in the woods. Probably asking for it given the recent string of murders and the fact a giant wolf lives out there, but dammit if he doesn't enjoy having a cigarette to himself. But when he spots a little girl... in the typical New Feather gear, he can't help but be suspicious. It was a day early, wasn't it?]

[The little girl turns when she hears someone approaching, and the sight of a man who's awfully bigger than her with a stern expression makes her nervous. Her first thought is she's been caught sneaking out--even though she didn't remember actually sneaking out--but he doesn't look like someone who'd be working with the professor. She musters a smile, though her fingers are fidgeting with her dress.] Hello? ...oh, is this your book, mister?

Uh-uh, I just found it. [Someone has clearly not checked out the cover yet.] I'll go find who lost it. [She looks around... ... they are not close enough to see the town so she has no idea where she'd find other people.]

["Another"? Aerith's used to be the only little girl in the lab.] Do you see a lot of children? I hear there's lots in the city, but I don't see them. I don't see the city either. I got really far somehow...maybe they put me to sleep?

There are no bugs in your book. This is a sort of... talking book.

...Why make a talking book? Books are for reading! Phones are for talking.

Who are you, mister?

This is kind of like phone actually. You can write messages or talk to each other like we;re doing now.

I'm Hijiri, what about you?

Oh, I don't have anything to write with. [/DISAPPOINTMENT. She will have to find a crayon and scribble later.] I'm Aerith! Do you live in, um, the village? [The village which she has failed at obtaining the name of so far.]

[Nanako, guess what? You're the first fellow little girl she's ever talked to well, remembers talking to. She's completely on board with the subject of ladybugs. :)b] Uh-huh, a ladybug! She's red and she has--[brb counting] hold still!--seven spots on her back. I'm going to be seven years old soon. What about you?
