As long as I can remember, I've kept a running file of certain things I see in people's houses that I want in my own someday, if I'm ever wealthy enough to build/renovate a house of my own: secret ladders and passageways, tiny bedrooms under the stairs, hammock chairs and actual hammocks.

This is so going on the list.

Of course, I'd never actually make it up or down the stairs when I needed to go anywhere, I'd just stop and browse and suddenly realize I'd lost a day somewhere...

LOL - oh god yes, I can see myself doing the same thing... hours lost while halfway up the stairs... phone never answered, teenagers never fed... hmmmmm *g*

Ah, but teenagers will scrounge for themselves if they're hungry; problems would only arise when you forgot to drive them to the mall...
