what a nice, sweet, short and insightful video!
what a lovely thing to own now. it would be so interesting to watch it a decade or two or three from now and see how you've changed.

This is excellent, Julia. I am finally trying to make a routine of photography, more for myself & a self-historiography & to prove to myself that I existed in some way. I've always had a terrible memory (I mean dreadful, I can only remember maybe one specific thing from a year ago) & hope it will help in some way to recall instances that meant something, or didn't mean anything, but did happen. I also vastly prefer taking photos of myself w/ th timer, though M. has been helping a bit lately; I get self-conscious when someone is behind th camera.

i want to deconstruct this idea of being shy with someone behind the camera taking the picture, but NOT being shy sharing it with potentially millions of strangers online... i think there is a lot that could be unpacked there.

self-portrait photos as memories is really surreal! the 100 days i took a photo of my outfit every day, i can vividly remember what i did on which days i was wearing what. it is very strange.

I don't know if anyone's answered yet but an artist CV should have (according to my lecturers, and all the CVs, I've read):
Your name (obviously)
Biography (that is relevant to your practice)
Studies (again, generally that are relevant i.e. mine only has the Bachelor of Visual Arts listed)
Exhibitions you have been in listed from most recent backwards
Collections your work is in, if it's in any.
Publications your work is in, if it's in any.

And possibly articles written about your work. I'm not sure about that as mine hasn't had anything written about it ;]

Hope that helps!

you're very interesting. i get distracted though looking through your photos- simply because your mouth is hanging open the majority of the time. im curious have you ever thought about it or noticed it?
a recurring expression that reminds me of a lost girl at times, wide eyes and mouth gaping a bit. i find myself wanting to see a smirk, a strong knowing assured smile.. or something else
do you have any thoughts of your recurring expressions, specifically the way mouth seems to be lacking something?

i didn't notice until recently, the past few months actually. in fact, i've been thinking a lot about my poses and my favourite photos... my favourite self-portraits are the ones when i feel like i am natural, not posing... and smiling at a camera with no one behind it feels fake... hence the slack-jaw look a lot of the time. you're right that a different facial expression could add a lot to my photos.

i'm curious, do you see my photos anywhere else, or just on livejournal?
