One thing I want to suggest is having sellers post a piece of paper w/the date and their username by their sales. This rule has just taken effect over at serasell and it helps a great deal. If it's someone who posts a lot, maybe have them do it once every two weeks or something. I thought this was a great idea to avoid scams.
Other than that, I think you all are doing a great job, and have no complaints :)
Right! It's something many sellers do at Soompi as well, and I am totally for it. I hate seeing stock images because there's no proof of the item
( ... )
I don't know. It seems troublesome to keep that updated, especially when you have a lot to sell. Lord knows I don't really have the space to pull out everything, especially I put them storage in my room and only take them out when they are sold after I take pics of it.
I really do think that stock images should be forbidden to use though. If it's once, I'm okay with it. Every item needs to needs photographed.
I agree. I think serasell sells items that are much more expensive (ranging upwards of $100+), and thus a name and date seems very reasonable.
We won't be requiring it, but I also don't think we'll be banning stock photos. There are feedback-related incentive to not use stock photos, so hopefully that's enough. However, if it becomes an issue of people scamming using stock photos, then I think more drastic action will be taken.
I for one know how misleading Asian stock photos are x.x The design/quality of the item you see in the stock photos are rarely representative of what you actually get (unless you're using a high-quality site, like Zipia, which I trust).
Tags: too few. Not saying there should be tags or each anime or band, but we really need more specific tags.
How about 5 days between posting again? It's okay if GSJ fills up my flist easily, but to see the same stuff over and over again...I had to make an flist filter.
Tags: I actually do not mind having VERY specific tags, after all, there's a ctrl+f for a reason if the list gets long.
What do you think about a tag request post? This way we can get a feel of what tags people are looking for. Also, people can continuously request new tags as new bands, animes, and brands and other merchandise come out. I'm totally agreeing with myself right now XD
Posting: I definitely was not here when the posting was every 5 days. I'll have to talk to Saz about that, and probably the rest of the community to see what their opinions are :) Perhaps I'll consolidate all feedback from this post into another one and have people vote on ideas.
The ones with more yes will be implemented and the ones with majority no will be tossed.
YES. I LIIIIKE THESE IDEAS. GREAT BRAINSTORMING. WAHAHAHA.
I don't think it's too few as having many tags gets to some people already like how some people don't even put tags. The tags right now (I think) is already specific as it is. It is what I think. :)
Thanks for your comment! I also just look at RSS, so I don't bother looking at the layout :X However, I tend to like muted colors, which is what the color scheme for this layout is, but I know not everyone agrees with my taste in colors XD
Posting: The person above you also mentioned making it a little longer... So are you an active seller or more of a buyer? I'd like to get your opinion on why it should be longer, please :)
I initially joined looking to buy, but ended up mainly selling for the time being.
However I still look for things I might want to buy and I think the 3 day window makes for a fairly repetitive list with the same group of sellers posting as soon as the 3 days is up. It isn't a deal breaker for me but I think maybe a 5 day gap would be nice... so my opinion really is more an impression than anything based on facts :)
I agree with the need for more specific tags, maybe even by band/brand/specific manga or anime. I'll be honest and say I don't really care for the adding a piece of paper with the date on it deal-- I get where people are coming from with that but it'd be hard to moderate. Plus I feel like if you're not posting your stuff directly on the comm, like, have a link to your post on a sales journal or whatever, it ought to be up to your own discretion (and the buyer's trust) whether you added the paper or not.
... But that's just my two cents. For the record I rarely sell anything and I'd probably just forget about adding it.
For the record I actually really appreciate the job you do, particularly regarding bootlegs. None of the other selling comms I'm in have a policy against them, so I appreciate yours a lot.

I'll be okay with whatever the majority decides on.
Thank you!

The Application Process - I think it is straight forward and it helps me feel a bit more secure than just some general community.
Posting and Images - I don't mind the 3 day rule for posting - though I think it might be a good idea to make it a little longer.
Layout - Honestly I mainly look at the site via my RSS feeder, so I rarely see the layout.
Anything else - I've managed to sell some items, so I greatly appreciate this community! Its a great resource.
