Glad to hear there wasn't any damage to your property. I've seen pictures of the sky in the UK on FB ... it looked really weird.

I was rather glad as well! We always seem to have fence panels blow out whenever it gets excessively windy so it was a nice change to have them all stay put. The sky was certainly an odd thing to wake up to. There were a lot of yellow-ish skies before a thunderstorm in Germany so I just thought it was something like that!

Thank you! I rather wish it was animated but it'll do for now. I lost my animated ones in the Great Photobucket Debacle and I've not been able to fix them yet.

Me too! There were some trees uprooted locally and I heard about a shop somewhere in the county that lost its roof but thankfully nothing damaged for my own property.

I know, I couldn't believe it! They put more out on the Tuesday morning as well. I have no idea if they were unaware of the storm or if they just didn't think it was going to be a problem. Daft people. Imagine if you'd put out underwear and it blew off the line and went halfway down the street! Having to go and ask your neighbours if you could have your bra and knickers back from out of their garden!!

Hard for me to tell as I'm housebound until my new chair arrives... but I haven't seen anything more serious on Facebook than a few loose fence panels, and some knocked over wheelie bins! :-)

I haven't left the house since last Friday anyway, I only found out some of the local damage online. Apparently there was some trees in the area that came down and a shop in the county somewhere lost part of its roof! Those poor wheelie bins, they're always the first casualty! ;)
