I don't generally read the X-Men series, I've read a few here and there but I tend to stick to Wolverine's own series. But he's gone now so I thought I'd give the X-Men a try. This whole recent drama though, it's been incredibly bizarre. Have you seen the post written by G Willow Wilson, the Muslim writer of the new Ms Marvel? It's here, and it's worth a read.

I was reading that too, it's so weird! Of course it's such an Indonesian/Muslim specific reference that it's easy to see how it would slip through. That guy's definitely not getting any more Western work...

When I first heard, I was confused as to how an artist could slip references in without anyone realising, but like you say, they're so specific, no else is going to have a clue what they mean. It's such a shame for any other Indonesian or Muslim artists though, they're going to have to prove themselves twice as much now just because of that one idiot.

He's claiming it was a peaceful protest and that his words were said out of love but it's all complete bollocks. The worst thing is that he's become a martyr for a lot of people who support that cause :(
