December 18: A nice meal you had recently - chaquir

I was actually going to do a post on some of the nice meals I've made lately so how convenient that it was one of the suggestions for a photo post! I hope you're not too hungry or you'll be chewing at the screen at the sight of all this yummy food I've made.

They're actually all chicken! Well, apart from the shakshuka. Did you mean the marmalade chicken and the coconut chicken ones?

I'll email you the recipes. Is it the address you used to send me the ebooks?

heh, I must be psychic that I asked you this question haha

Nice looking dishes. The chicken with the marmelade is the most appealing to me

The marmalade chicken one is so yummy, and it's so easy to make too :)

it does sound that way, but I doubt the ones in this household would appreciate it

Nice timing! Shakshuka is possibly my breakfast choice (at a restaurant) tomorrow, though the menu doesn't say they use chilies or cumin. This prompts me to ask, though, if theirs is "hot"!

Shakshuka is meant to be made with chilli and cumin, I believe. The recipe I have also includes paprika but I don't think that's one of the usual ingredients. Did you end up having it in the end?

Woo, spicy!

No, I was a wimp and opted for the omelet. :p

Not really, I don't like hot spicy things so I just put a little bit in. One of the benefits of making it at home :)

Mmm, looks delicious! I especially like the sound of the first one. I just have a thing for things with poached or fried eggs in them!

The good thing is that shakshuka can be made for breakfast or dinner time, tea time, any time! It's a very versatile dish.
