Yay winter cards done and ready, oooh! Mum's chuffed because she's got her cards written and posted, earliest she's ever done them - and hers were just bought cards she wrote in, not your fine handcrafted and designed one.
I don't send many cards so it doesn't take me long to write them out. My mother had hers done nearly two weeks before I did. She's always so on the ball when it comes to writing them out. I think a lot of that is from being in Germany because they had to be posted out so early.
Doing an online card is easiest of all, time wise and postage-wary I mean, tho I'm feeling a bit stressed as I've been too tired and ill to get much art done the past couple of weeks, hopefully will come up with something nifty to share soon tho..
That's true, it's definitely cheaper! I don't get many cards so I'm always glad to get one, and I tend to think that there must be other people who are appreciative of getting a personal greeting in the post. Especially at this time of year when it's easy to feel lonely and forgotten, it's nice to get a reminder that someone is thinking of you, you know?
I think I'll manage the last ones this weekend. I kinda don't believe in the last posting date - I sent a parcel out to the Czech Republic on Monday and it arrived on Wednesday!!!
The post is weird. I sent a card to Liverpool and it took two days! It's about an hour away! I think there's a black hole en route there somewhere though, it always seems to take a long time for post to go from here to Liverpool.
It gets all over the place! As soon as Christmas stuff appears, you start finding glitter everywhere. I made the mistake of opening a new box of cards on my bed. I had to hoover the quilt because it was covered in glitter!
