Sightseeing Tour of London

Oct 24, 2013 16:56

When I was getting my stuff ready for my trip to London, I thought I could do a Day in Pictures post as it's been a while since I last did one and it seemed like an opportune time. However, when I checked my last DiP post, it turned out to be of the last time I went to London... Obviously, it was such a good idea, I had it twice. While I was in ( Read more... )

Awesome photos - and it's nice to put a face to a name too!

And anyone who likes taking shortcuts through cemeteries is all right in my book...

Well, I don't mind taking the shortcut while it's light... it's a different matter entirely when it starts to go dark!

Yay, so many nice pics! Looks like you got to see lots of cool stuffs. And four handsome selfies too! :) I agree about the Oscar Wilde statue; the idea is very nice but the execution is kind of icky. I love all the geekery stuff; you surely wouldn't get that on most tours as you said. It's much better with geekery. *nods* I'm glad you were able to read and drink tea while riding backwards on the train! Reading makes it much worse for me so I would have had to just sit with my eyes closed taking deep breaths. :-/ Such a busy day though, and so nice to get to see so many pics of it! :)

Four selfies, I know, I'm not usually so self-promoting.

I think you'd get geeky stuff if you were on a specifically geeky tour. I know there's at least one Harry Potter walking tour that does filming locations and other places that are mentioned in the books/films.

The last time I had to travel backwards I was so sick and dizzy the day after, it was awful so I was really expecting to feel like that again on Tuesday. I actually felt fine, no dizziness at all. I actually didn't even realise I'd not felt dizzy until Wednesday. It was a nice bonus though!

Thank you for sharing your pictures!! I love, love, LOVE the one of London Bridge the best. And the pics of where the different scenes from the Harry Potter movies were shot, daHubby really liked them.

And has anyone told you that you resemble Eddie Izzard? Y'all are both handsome blokes yanno ;)

The London Bridge pic is pretty nice, it looks like a postcard photo or something. I'm glad daHubby liked the filming locations, I did get some odd looks for taking photos of random buildings!

Actually someone told me a few years ago that I look like Eddie Izzard. He is quite handsome although I think he looks much better in make-up than I do. Mind you, he can apply it much better than I ever could, I used to be quite jealous of his eyeshadow application!
