Organisers and books and games oh my

As if I wasn't organised enough in my last post, I've since been even more organised. I wasn't even sure that was really possible, but apparently it is ( Read more... )

Goodness, you're so organised. You're not the only one who ogles stationery, never fear. ;) I love three-ring binders but I don't really have much use for them anymore, which is sad. I just have the one for recipes and another for takeaway menus. Mostly my paper stuffs lives in a filing cabinet. (I can't decide whether to take out all the recipe cards we have in that brown box and put them all in a binder somehow, or whether to just leave them. They're pretty well organised in the box, but it's stuffed a bit full! If nothing else I should go through them all and make sure they really are organised. And only some of it is cards; a lot of it is recipes cut from newspapers and magazines, which are nice but not as easy to flip through as cards. Maybe I'll deal with the recipe stuffs this week. I think you and I are about tied for knowing the best way to spend a weekend.)

Hee. I had the same reaction to the dedication in The Accidental ( ... )

How can you not have any use for ring binders any more? Although they are v silly for having 3 sets of rings, rather than 2.

Apparently you can get a new DS Lite + game + accessory for $130 from Walmart. Or a second-hand one from Gamestop for about $90.

I don't do much with papers! My ring binders always had three rings though, although you can get them here with two. I think having only two rings is v silly. *nodnod*

Oo, that's not too bad. I definitely want to spend under $100. I'll have a look on craigslist and stuffs too, but Gamestop might be the way to go. Fank you for looking for me!

Silly Mercans, have to go one better all the time, even with ring binders :-P

I didn't look, I was discussing the prices of DSs with someone recently and those are the ones they mentioned.

I also drool over stationery :oD I have way more than I need already though, so I try not to buy more (not always successfully...). I love looking at Smiggle and Kikki K online.

Well, I did already have a vague inkling that you were a stationery geek. Can't think why...

I've never heard of either of those brands before. I don't really have a particular brand that I go for most. I do like the Adoc System notebooks and Pukka Project Pads though.

I wasn't aware of that. This is only the first book of hers that I've read, although I am enjoying it thus far :)

I've read that, its brilliant, the sequel is a bit slow-going but perks up enough ot make me hopeful for book three - which I must track down come to think..

And ooh, the more you talk about this game the more intrigued I am.. might have to invest at some point, I've had other Harry Potter games and been a bit disappointed, though the Quidditch World Cup on my ps2 was fab :)

I was considering recommending it to you once I'd finished it actually!

Well, it is a very good game, I think. I've not played many of the other Harry Potter games, I had the first one for the PC and then I borrowed the GoF one from my sister for the DS. I also had Quidditch World Cup but for the PC. If nothing else, the fact that you can cast Tarantallegra on Snape and watch him Irish dancing is worth the cost of the game on its own ;)

I've got.. oh, whichever one opens with the Quidditch world cup, brains dead today.. for the Gameboy, not bad actually should you care to borrow it (unless its the GoF one)... will have ot look out for this one when I'm back in gaming mode away from the PC - sent you an invite to Smallworlds, no clue if its your sort of thing.

I went somewhere today specifically to look at stationery and the shop isn't there anymore. So I had to cheer myself up with CDs in HMV instead.

I have the receipt for my car in my purse mainly because I am so damn proud we bought the damn thing. We tend to keep big receipts too, in a massive pink file thing which Himself oversees. I swear there is like a paper with my soul on it in there.

Smash Hits was a-maz-ing. I loved how they always called people by First name Band. The NME did it a few years ago with Pete Libertine.

It's a bit of hazard at the moment with random shops disappearing without notice ( ... )

Stephen Duffy! God love him! I loved the whole asking slebs how much milk was. NME did it at some point, too. I like the article!
