Someone once said that you're never completely out, neither do you ever finish coming out. I foolishly thought that I was about as out as I could possibly be - I know that I'm not out at work my temp jobs but I generally don't see the point as I'm only there for a few weeks and I can't be doing with having to do Trans 101 every time I move to a ( Read more... )

I'm not sure. It's been so long since I last saw him that it's hard to say. I think if he can't handle it - which I would be extremely surprised about, given some of the people we used to know - then I would be disappointed but as he's down the other end of the country, it's not like I would have to go out of my way to avoid him. If that makes any sense.

*nods emphatically* I've said the same thing over and over again, both to myself and others, in the past few years. I think the same thing can be said of anyone really, not just Transfolk. Transitioning has made me lose friends, but it's also made me less willing to put up with people who only want to take from me without giving anything in return.
