The post came a little while ago and one of the items was a mid-sized jiffy bag with my name on it. I was a little puzzled because I wasn't expecting a package from anywhere. I was even more baffled when I saw that it had the name HarperCollins Children's Books on it. Then I remembered the letter that I'd sent them way back in May ( Read more... )

wow cool nice of them to get back to you aswell but being a childrens book i think it was right of you to point out any mistakes :)

It doesn't really matter whether it's a children's book or not, it shouldn't have any typos or formatting errors in it. That's a lousy editor and proofreader at fault.

Goodness, that is impressive! Aren't you glad you wrote them? You really must write again about the other errors you found. ;) And how nice to get the first book of a new series! If it's good, you'll have more to look forward to!

Well, the other book that I mentioned with errors was Bear's so I wasn't sure what to do about that. But on top of that when I was reading the Greece book today, I found 4 errors in that too! And that's a reprint! I think they'll be getting a letter, one of the mistakes was horrendous.

I'm sure I'll let you know how good the book is, and it'll get reviewed on Vox anyway.
