It sounds like you're having a wonderful time! I'm so glad you're able to spend an extended amount of time here in the States- it makes the trip so much more enjoyable when you're not so worried about "wasting time" by sleeping and silly things like that. :-) What does Michael speak about when he goes to the high schools?

Sleeping? What on earth would we do that for? It cuts down on my eating time! I've always said that 3 weeks is the least amount of time I would feasibly come over here for, it's such a distance that anything less seems silly. By the time you're getting used to being here, it's time to leave!

Michael's speaking gigs are generally Trans 101: introducing the concept of Transfolk, explaining what it means and telling about his own transition. I presume they're all pretty much the same as the one I saw but I'd imagine he adapts them to suit the audience as he also speaks at colleges too. He does a lot of speaking gigs, I don't think people realise the amount of work he puts in in this way.

It's so cool that he's able to go into high schools and talk about that! Unfortunately, my high school was/is so conservative that they'd never let him talk about that. :-(

I think in high schools it's mainly for health/sex ed classes. I have no idea how he got started with it, but these ones are at his old high school which is a big deal for him. I wish there had been something like this at my high school, I might have found out about Trans stuff at a much younger age *sigh*

1 - I don't really eat meat anyway, I only eat fish and poultry and I don't really keep kosher, except at Passover so thankfully it's not a major problem. I think it's easier to find kosher food over here than it is in the UK though ( ... )

Glad you're having fun :)

Good point, I hadn't thought of that. She did seem to be trying to pronounce it as Bah-singstoke initially.

Sounds like you're having a great time, getting loads packed in - glad the cookies worked out so well, told you they were good, I'm pleased you found the organic pb, much better that way, and ideal them being kosher

They're extremely good! Especially with a nice cup of filter coffee :) It's a huge bonus that they're kosher too, finding cakes or biscuits that are and are nice too seems to be quite hard.
