There was an announcement from Buckingham Palace a short while ago saying that the Queen has died.

It's taken me a while to write this because I haven't quite had the words. It's definitely a sad day, and most certainly the end of an era.

We now have a new King, King Charles III. It's going to take a lot of getting used to.

So sad. But she leaves behind her a legacy of service and grace.

The news has been full of mentions of the King or King Charles all day and it's so strange to hear. It all feels very surreal.

It's weird to think that nobody who was an adult (18+) when she was born will even be alive now!

And we'll probably not be alive to see another queen on the throne :-/
