However, shouldn't her parents be keeping an eye on her so she doesn't run into the apartments of strangers? I mean, if you guys saw Max run into her parents' apartment, it seems like you might go get him. Right?

You'd think they would. I think they're freaked out by her, too. Maybe they want someone to kidnap her so they don't have to deal with her anymore.
