In memoriam: Shirley Thomson

I had originally intended that this blog be exclusively about Scrabble and boardgaming, but a person who had an enormous impact on my life died earlier this week and I wanted to use this space to pay tribute to her.

Sigh.

Maybe it's just me, but there seems to be quite a few people passing away that we know of. Two were from Apaplexy (though one was last year), and my roommate lost a friend of his just yesterday (though the friend had been fighting cancer for a while).

That's lovely. Thanks for letting me know more about Ms. Thompson: she always seemed to be such a strong & articulate voice for the arts, and a rolemodel for women in any field.
