but I don't want to go on the cart

First off: Beth Kinderman & the Player Characters will perform an electric show at the St. Paul Eagles Club on Saturday, February 6 at 9 p.m. Music starts at 8, the show is 18+, and the suggested donation at the door is $5. Once again, we've had relatively low fan response for this show so far, so please make it out if you can ( Read more... )

I'm surprised that I wouldn't immediately devour the last new BSG we are likely to get, but I don't know, I feel like after "Daybreak" I had so much emotional closure regarding that show that going back to that universe would just seem redundant.

I feel largely the same. I don't need "The Plan", honestly. In fact, I always sort of liked not knowing what the actual plan was. It was enough to know that the plan actually kinda went off the rails. The series is not really about the plan. The series is about what happens when everybody's -- literally everybody's plans -- go completely astray.

I am still planning a complete rewatch of the series, though, now that I have the BluRay, including a "movie day" to watch the pilot and first few eps in good company. At this point, probably not 'til March.

Mass Effect 2 is on my radar, but Star Trek Online owns my gaming brain right now :-)

I'd be interested in getting in on that movie day when you have it!

March is going to be a pretty intense recording month for me, so it's a bit unpredictable right now, alas. Just schedule it when you schedule it, and I'll make it if I can.

I am starting to be concerned that the strain on the Xbox from [info]eustacio and I playing it pretty much constantly, and from him having probably about 100 saves across his two playthroughs.

I've actually got about 15 maybe right now between my two, to be fair. Remember, this 360 did already once have a Red Ring of Death issue, so I wouldn't be surprised if it ever had another issue.

Heh, I may have exaggerated. (c: I just remembered your save list being LONG when I saw it, once. Then again I generally only use 2-3 slots.

RRoD is always a concern...the console does have known overheating problems and we've been working it pretty hard. Have you been having any glitches on your playthroughs? I remember that you were on fire once and that was pretty hilarious. If you're not having trouble, though, maybe it's just my saves that are screwed up.

Sometimes you get the graphics glitches if the states between 'Character Effect' and 'Cut Scene' run together. But no, the most I get are usually audio glitches, but sometimes I power through the audio because I can read it faster than some of the slow speakers can say what they're saying.

I like the voice acting too much to skip the audio, unless it's something I've heard a zillion times before (Enchantment!).

I don't know if you saw below, but apparently what I experienced is a known glitch, so I'm not too worried. You might wanna clear the Xbox cache if you get a chance though.

Hey BTW are you gonna be around for dinner tonight? Survivor isn't new, but there's a one-hour retrospective special I'm probably watching, and then it premieres next week.

I am just writing to say that the "responsibility scallop" cracks my shit up. More so because I had inexplicably forgotten what scallop shells look like, and so was imagining this little round ball with a stern Fruits-Basket-chibi-riceball frowny face.

(I am assuming that this is referring to the animal, not to the fabric detail.)

Yes, the animal. He is so useful in so many ways. I AM IGNORING HIM RIGHT NOW

He can be kind of an asshole.

No, I haven't. That's a good thought. Thank you!

Also, I did some googling and found out that the glitch I experienced is a known issue with the game, so there's that too. (c:

I think that while a forced end to Dollhouse helped them get where they were going faster, it would have been served by another couple episodes, because that was a lot of plot shoved into 43 minutes.

I'm definitely with you on that. The finale felt rushed in a way that other episodes did not.
