I prefer GMing to playing as well, which is why I really don't game anymore. GMing is more work than just playing, and other things trump my time.

Yeah, I think the reason that a lot of people burn out on GMing is because they do it because they think they have to rather than because they want to. I haven't stopped wanting to for 8 years now, so the 5ish hours of game and 5-10 additional hours of prep per week don't bother me.
