Hey Dennis hayabusa75 September 20 2006, 11:21:13 UTC
Will there be any actual media coverage of the event? It'd be cool for us America-bound folks to catch some footage of the exhibits, as well as maybe hear about some of the debates...

If it's any consolation to those outside the UK, it is a touring show.

If you make enough noise, it might come to your local area.

The Museum of Science & Industry had/has such an exhibit as well here in chicago. I'll go link hunt if I can.

Nevermind what I said, it turns out (to my understanding) that Game On 'travels' from museum to museum.

If you want to count the orirignal 'please don't be scared of nuclear technology!' Pong implementation.

Or even 55 years if you Ralph Baer's unimplemented suggestion for including a 'game' in a 'tv'

Some don't consider Tennis for Two to be the first actual video game because it used an analog computer rather than a digital one.

It was set up using relays, switches, and a few transistors, and was played on an oscilliscope.

Semantics I know. ;)

Heh. It always confuses me when people automaticly think 'computer <--> digital'

But yeah, that is probably why it was not included, though since the term is 'video game' not 'comptuer game' or 'digital computing device' game, persionally I think it should have been.
